I had just been let go from a job and money was on the lockdown. I received one severance check and I wasn’t sure how long it’d take to get another job. during this time I decided to visit family out of state and I had a confident feeling all would turn out right. Before I left I had been interviewing with multiple companies and had follow up calls from afar. I was offered a position while visiting family and was so grateful for the opportunity, answered prayers and hard work.
The severance money I had received was then moved to savings to use another day. Shortly after starting my new job, an opportunity arose to uplift someone else’s burden.
When my husband and I were first married, money was incredibly tight and we weren’t going to make our rent payment. An incredibly generous man had an impression or thought to take out a lump of money and have it on hand for some reason. They were from out of state and were in town for a short period. As he and my husband conversed, he learned of the tight spot we were in and said “I knew this money was meant for someone and it’s for you.” He handed him an envelope and tears and hugs were shared. He helped us get through that month and our finances changed soon there after. From that moment I wanted to be a position to do that for someone else, and the moment arrived.
Recently a family member had been hospitalized and almost died from sepsis. Family & financial situation was not great and the illness was the icing on the cake. We became aware of the situation and wondered how we could help. We had been blessed with the “extra money” from me being let go to help someone else in need. It’s interesting how God works through you to help someone else in more dire need than you.
